The base situation.
In this case, immediate implantation was performed with a socket shield technique.
The socket-shield technique provides the root bisected, so the buccal two-third of the root preserved in the socket so that the periodontium along with the bundle bone and the buccal bone remains intact. The aim is to prepare the tooth root, which is indicated for extraction in such a manner that the buccal and acial root section remains in place.
The tooth was removed using the "shield" method but its front wall was preserved. In the socket shield technique, the buccal root section of the tooth is maintained to preserve the buccal bone for immediate implant placement.
After the implant bed preparation, a Nobel implant 3.75 parallel was placed. The harvested from the tubercle autogenous bone graft provided a gap-filling between the implant and the root. As the coronal gum seemed thin, the autogenous bone graft was also added in that area. A temporary crown was immediately fabricated. The permanent prosthetics was completed in 5 months.
Unfortunately, the patient refused the restoration of adjacent teeth due to a limited budget.
Pay your attention to the dense ring of connective tissue around the implant, it inspires with a certain confidence in the long-term prognosis.
